CREON Group joins RIAC

On March 20, 2019, CREON Group became the corporate member of the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC). Established in 2011, the Council is an independent non-commercial partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and Interfax news agency among its founders. The partnership has 158 individual members including diplomats, military, businessmen, scientists and journalists, as well as 25 corporate members including the largest universities and corporations of the Russian Federation.

Igor Ivanov, President of RIAC, former Foreign Minister of Russia, is confident that «participation of CREON, one of the recognized leaders of the Russian investment business, in the activities of RIAC will undoubtedly contribute to improving the interaction between the government, the business and the expert communities in the interests of strengthening Russia’s position in the modern world».

«Establishing the dialogue between various foreign policy circles including diplomats, experts, business and civil society, and searching for solutions to international and global problems in order to integrate Russia into the European partnership is a noble cause, – says Fares Kilzie, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Creon Capital. – I believe that together with RIAC we will be able to contribute to the improvement of the investment climate in Russia». Mr. Kilzie encourages representatives of the oil and gas industry to join this initiative.

The management of CREON will take part in the sessions and events organized by RIAC, and will continue to support important forums for Russia such as «Russia-China: Towards a New Quality of Bilateral Relations» and «Russia and Turkey: Strengthening the Multi-Faceted Partnership».
