Structure

Risk mitigation matters most for CREON as a group of companies with large activities in emerging markets. For this reason, we structure most of our investment activities under the umbrella of the CREON Energy Fund. This Luxembourg-based private equity fund operates as a Sicav-SIF entity, closely monitored by the Grand Duchy’s financial authority CSSF, our depositary bank Intertrust, auditor Ernst & Young and the independent investment advisor Alfa Asset Management (Europe).

With these reliable partners we ensure maximum protection of assets while decreasing the investment risks to a minimum.

The Fund’s partners and auditors:

The Fund’s auditor Ernst & Young (EY) is one of the «big four» global accounting firms. The group is headquartered in London and provides various professional services. www.ey.com

Our depositary bank Intertrust is headquartered in Amsterdam, the majority shareholder is Blackstone group. Intertrust is the second largest trust service provider for Funds in Luxembourg. www.intertrust.com

The European branch of Alfa bank is our independent investment consultant, which questions our investment decisions in terms of risks and reasonability. http://aame.lu/

Luxembourg’s leading law firm is the Fund’s legal advisor. With more than 325 lawyers and other specialists the company operates on a global high-level. www.arendt.com

Currently, most of our investments are being carried out via Sub-Funds: Firmly monitored «Special Purpose Vehicles» (SPV) based in Luxembourg, which hold shares in execution companies and industrial projects outside of the country. Both the SPV and the foreign subsidiary are monitored in Luxembourg and are subject to European laws and EU-based arbitrage mechanisms.
