On October 3, Germany celebrates the 30th Day of Unity. We congratulate our German colleagues, friends and partners with this wonderful national holiday that has become a symbol not only of the new, reunited Germany, but also of the whole European unity. The importance of this event for the whole European community and for Russia should not be underestimated.
Relations between Russia and Germany are based on the principles of productive cooperation in a wide range of areas – foremost, economic. Today there are about 4500 German companies working in Russia, having created almost a quarter of a million jobs. At the same time Russia is one of the key strategic partners of Germany and the main supplier of energy resources for the German economy – one of the world export leader.
We are confident that our friendship and relations will be successfully developed and strengthened.
